He's Baaaaaack!

I don't even know what to say except that I am furious.

The asshat that I talked about here, and here, is back.

Yesterday I went up to see Peyton with my cousin and discovered little souvenirs that his dog had left around her grave. I didn't have anything on me to clean it up with, so I headed back up there early this morning with bags in tow. What I found broke my heart. There was enough dog waste around Peyton's little grave to fill three plastic doggie pickup bags.

I looked around at the other graves and found nothing. It's like he walked it over to her spot and placed it himself.

What kind of a person can do something like that to a little baby's grave? As you all know, I have already gone to the police. I don't know where else to turn because they can't have someone stationed there 24/7.

I really don't need this...

  2. Oh Kristin.... This is just aweful! What about trying something like this: http://www.odordestroyer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=DogRepellents It's supposed to repel animals. I know it's impossible to watch the cemetary 24/7, but something has to be done! Sending you love... I'm so sorry that this fool is hurting you.

  4. As soon as I saw the title of your post, I knew what it would be about. I was thinking of you yesterday as I waked by a cemetery with multiple very prominent signs about what's prohibited: first one, dogs. I'm sorry this happened. I know how upsetting it is when somebody does something to your baby's grave.

  5. I cant believe the nerve of that guy! seriously! After already being talked to by officer B and being fined for not registering his dogs he is still coming back! I would def get officer B on the phone again. Take photos of the evidence. It certainly wouldnt hurt to start a file and a log of all his incidents. I am so mad for you and hope this comes to an end soon.

  6. That is so awful! Do you think he is doing it on purpose now because you turned him into the police before? Call the officer woman back again!!! Hoping they can stop him. He has no idea how hurtful this must be!

  7. Take pictures and go to a local news station. Get copies of the police reports and have them do a report. Maybe then the asshat will be embarrassed into staying away.

I'm so sorry it's happening again.

  8. One can only shake their head when they encounter such unbelievable inconsideration. We live in a world filled with rabid animals walking around in human bodies. They have no idea what they do. I'm so sorry sweet friend.

Yesterday I went for a walk in the Gully that houses my babies ashes. I found men with chainsaws cutting down many of the ancient pines. I couldn't breathe. They were destroying my sacred place. Destroying the gully. And...they had the law on their side.

    My heart is broken.

  9. Oh Kristin I am so sorry you definately don't need this right now. That is just so wrong. I am so mad right now, I can't believe that guy! That is such a sacred place, dogs are not allowed, what nerve.
    Sending you a big ((hug)).

  10. That really stinks! I am so sorry! What about the staff at the cemetery? Have/Can you talk(ed) to them, is there anything they can do? What about animal control, maybe if he can't follow the laws regarding dogs in your area, he shouldn't have them.
I would make it a point to call the cops again...and if you want to take it that far, start to document (maybe photograph) all of his misdeeds and bring them to the police...there has got to be SOMETHING that can be done!

  11. Maybe contact the local press and shame the idiot?

  12. Oh no. Like Sara, when I saw the title of your post I just knew that it would be this beastly, horrible man again.
I'm so sorry. I wish that everyone here in blog land could somehow be transported over to you, so we could all go and find this man and give him a good talking to. He really needs one. x

  13. De-lurking here...I've been reading for about a month...*waving*

I'd be beyond ticked if a dog (and his idiot owner) were doing such a sacrilege to my own daughter's grave.

I think the dog repellant or a nice gentle dog laxative (ask a vet?) in some treats is an idea--let him deal with that once he gets home. Something that makes the whole visit to that area less appealing. And it's sad the dogs get caught in the middle of this when the problem is obviously this guy. He has no respect and no decency and I don't think there's much that can be done to get through to such people.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. ((HUGS))

  15. Kristin,

In addition to my earlier comment, which was tongue-in-cheek...I have grown up with dogs all my life and wouldn't suggest anything untoward a furry pal when it's the owner who needs the lessons in proper behavior...I feel your frustration and I'm livid for you. I've had ornaments taken off my daughter's grave over the years and that kind of stuff makes me furious.

Can you start some kind of community watch with the relatives of the others buried there? I know when someone was stealing from graves in our cemetery (and stole off my daughter's grave too), I spoke with one of the moms whose daughter was buried nearby and she said her sister-in-law lived a couple of blocks away and she also had friends nearby and they started an unofficial patrol...just more of a presence as a deterrent. It seemed to work. Maybe you could make a letter and ask the cemetery officials to forward it to relatives (they should have addresses on file) and see if any live close by and are willing to just have their presence out there. It's their relatives too who are also affected by this guy...write it as an ongoing "vandalism-type" concern and maybe they'd be willing to come out and help. Strength in numbers type of thing.

    ((HUGS)) and good luck...

  16. Oh geeze, this guy is nothing if not persitant. What a jerk!!! My husband works in the security industry, I'd mount a motion detection camera to her grave or nearby where he wont see it. This guy is just unbelievable! Why is the cemetary even allowing pets inside the grounds? I'd leave a complaint with them as well as the police.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree with several other people. I would be persistent with the people who run the cemetary. It is absolutely not ok for this to happen! There is no reason this man should be allowed to walk his dogs there! I would also keep a file of when and who you've spoken to about it, when you've found "evidence", etc. This makes my heart break for you!

  18. O.MY.GOD. Call the police and let them know. Call the cemetery too. This jerk should be ashamed of himself! HOW COULD HE??? I agree. Get a camera and mount it discretely and film his ass!

  19. What a jerk! I'm so sorry this has happened again! I agree with the other readers, take pictures of Peyton's grave, and then take pictures of the other graves that were not touched. Show intention in those pictures. Then call the police to lodge another complaint, and call the local news station. Log everything! Have you talked to the cemetery owners, maybe have them enforce a law of no pets on the grounds?

I hope you find peace in this soon. You sure don't need this.....

  20. Oh, this makes me sick to my stomach. What a pathetic excuse for a human being. I hope they catch the bastard. I'm so sorry.

  21. I'm so angry on your behalf! You've had some great suggestions on dealing with this creep. I know I'm an ocean away, but I'm right there with you in spirit supporting you.

  22. I came across your blog through Maya and Bobbies mom ...
I just want to first say how sorry I am for your loss...
Peyton is a beautiful baby girl ... a beautiful Angel.
I lost my son at 31 weeks gestation. He was stillborn... and even though we have a baby now, the pain I feel from losing him is still real and still sharp!
I hope for nothing but good things to come your way .. you are a strong woman and deserve peace...

now, about Peytons little visitor!? Is she buried at a mortuary graveyard? see if they have cameras? I also read that this is not the first time and that you have had an officer of the law help you in the past .. I would see if they can get involved again. This man and his dog can be considered vandals.... you paid for Peytons resting place and even still, a resting place should be treated with respect.
I know in UT (where I used to live) if anyone even removed the flowers or decorations you put on the grave (even if the flowers had wilted), that was considered "defacement of property" and they could be fined .. up to inprisonment ....

I hope that this person and their dog stop! that is cruel and discusting! who takes their dog for a walk over a graveyard anyways?

  23. I am so pissed for you. I know it's hard to have surveillance 24/7, but there are people who work at the cemetery who should be taking action. What about the cemetery caretakers? Do they not see him allowing his dogs run around, or do they not care?

I work at a pet store, there's a few products around that can repel dogs from going around unwanted areas. This is the best stuff I've seen: http://www.petco.com/product/4580/Lambert-Kay-Boundary-Indoor-Outdoor-Dog-and-Cat-Repellents.aspx?cm_mmc=CSEMGoogleProdAd-_-Cat-_-Lambert%20Kay-_-1099329&mr:trackingCode=A5E15A1C-54EB-DE11-974B-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA&GANTrackingID=petco_88983090

I haven't gotten any returns on that product. Also, you could try cayenne pepper. If they smell it, it will hurt their noses and they'll learn not to sniff around that area. If they get it on their paws and lick their paws they will scream in pain. And then maybe that damned man will stop bringing his dog around the cemetary.

  24. I'm aghast Kristin and so angry. I can't even write what I want to tell you to do right now I'm so mad.

  25. I am left wondering if this grave is private property. If it is, I'd have a field day. This rat-bastard should be penalized to the full extent of the law. I feel bad for the dogs-- this is not their fault. This is the fault of an irresponsible, arrogant, d-bag owner. I walk dogs and would never allow any of them to take a leak or poo on, or near, anyone's grave.

I'm so glad you have Officer B on your side. Consult with the property owners as well and see what they have to say about this. I can't imagine that they'd take kindly to this behavior. I'd also see if anyone else has complained about this dog owner. Maybe a few more people on your side will repel the inconsiderate buffoon.

Have we run out of space for our dogs to relieve themselves? Really?

  26. I can't believe that the cemetery doesn't have some type of security. the cemetery where Lukas is doesn't have official security but there is someone that drives around in a van. He drives around several time when we are there. Maybe if there is some sort of presence it may prefent it.

  27. I am soo sorry. I am at a loss for words. I'd like to give this guy a peice of my mind, and a stiff kick in the you know what. (((hugs)))
