This is me asking for prayers... again

For the last few days I have been having a little cramping, sort of like I remember round ligament pain being with Peyton, but just much earlier. It's not all that painful, no doubling over or anything like that, just some aching crampiness. I am also having some back and leg cramps, though how much of that is because of all the hormones and shots I am on, I'm not sure, but what I DO know is that being pregnant, and googling anything that you are feeling, is a BAD, BAD, idea.

As a precaution (and to keep me from worrying all weekend) my Doc is having me come in this afternoon for an early ultrasound. I am 5 weeks 5 days today, so honestly I don't know how much they can see at this point. I know that I feel great, pregnancy wise that is. My sinus issues are another story. In terms of pregnancy I am growing more nauseous by the day, have soreness in my breasts, constantly have to pee, and need naps all the time. Thankfully, all signs there point to good things.

So this is me asking you for prayers... again. Please pray that this ultrasound goes well and my little snowflake(s) are right where they should be.

  1. I felt similarly! And it was SO different than how I felt with Matthew that I worried and freaked out! I felt like I had the flu--achy and weird kinds of crampings...not really enough to be *painful* per say, but definitely a bit uncomfortable! And worriesome...and all was fine.

I am excited for your ultrasound! I know there's a lot of anxiety in it (and especially in being so early because they may not be able to see a heartbeat yet or the fetal pole and that DOESN'T mean anything other than it's just a little early still) but they should be able to see gestational sacs so you can know if you have one or two!

Hope it eases your fears and gives you lovely reassurance for the weekend!

PS--I totally put myself on a google ban and am REALLY trying to stick with it. We have enough to worry about with the things we DO know and HAVE lived...I cannot keep digging new things up to worry about!

    Can't wait for the update!

  6. I had that with this pregnancy at almost 5 weeks - honestly thought it was aunt Flo finally making her appearance. Hoping you get excellent news at the appointment, and you post soon about how many snowflakes are in there!!

  7. Cramping early in pg is normal...so dont worry too much. I am so glad your dr is getting you in today so you dont have to worry over the weekend. At this point I dont think they can see much...might be too early for a heartbeat but it also might be there. Hang in there and prayers are always coming your way. Sorry about the sinus issues...hope they go away soon.

    HUGS- Denise

  9. You got the prayers. Since you are having twins you will have a lot of pain in your ligaments. I pray it will be just that, and that all the things you are suffering from, will dissipate.

    Hugs,

  14. Praying for you. I know this probably won't make you feel any better, but I cramped during the first few weeks of my pregnancy and the doctor told me not to worry as long as I wasn't spotting or anything. Hoping it is just your uterus making a comfy place for the babies!

  20. You know...I have to say that my pregnancy with Simon and Alexander was the most difficult I've ever had. Now, I didn't know I had twins at the time, but what I did know is that I had morning sickness, heartburn, serious fatigue, BIG round ligament pain even in the first month,...I did NOT feel good. Not at all. I now know all of this is more common with twins (higher levels of hormones...) I wish I'd known why after 5 easy pregnancies I was suddenly not feeling at all well. I thought it was my age...but...it was my twins. I wish they were here with me, as it would have made it all worth it. So worth it. But your snowflakes, I am keeping them close to my prayers....because they just MUST be. ((HUG))

  21. Nausea, although yucky, it such a good sign. The cramping gets earlier and earlier and more and more painful with each pregnancy. I'm guessing that what you are experiencing is par for the course. But, I am glad that you are having an ultrasound. They can give a little peace. But I'll keep you in my prayers. :)

  26. Oh my goodness... I want to congratulate you in the HUGEST way possible... I am so very, very thrilled for you and your hubs that you are pregnant. I read some of your previous entries and can so relate to your constant worry... I literally held my breath for the 41wks 3days I was pregnant. Had lots of scary moments, and was probably OCD about making sure baby was moving constantly. And even now that he's here, I worry about almost everything. There are some nights I can't fall asleep for fear that something terrible will happen to him in the night... Tons of hugs to you, and I hope that your ultrasound will provide some reassurance... although it is still very early to see much, so don't let that worry you more than you need... ((HUGE hugs!!!))

  27. I'm figuring at this point, you've probably already had your ultrasound. I hope everything is just as it should be - I can't wait for your update.

I have to restrain myself from internet searches. Which can be difficult, but necessary for my own sanity.

    Prayers sent!!
